When we read the part when Uno regretted the black eye he gave Danny I did not know what to think because I was not Expecting it. latter on I thought that it might be because Danny's uncle found out but then he might have regretted because he was amazed that Danny is such a great hitter and pitcher, better that any kid he has ever seen. I also think that he regrets doing it because Danny said that he ran into someone playing the Saturday Derby to his uncle Ray when he could of said that Uno punched him then uncle Ray would of done serious damage to Uno. I think that Uno will say something to Danny in the middle of the book to apologize because he feels guilty.
When Danny froze up at Leucadia Prep tryouts for the baseball team their, I think he was really nervous because of the scouts and because it seems to me that he does not like to be in the spotlight the center of attention. What really surprised me was that when he was at the fair drunk he was able to through a 78 curve-ball and up to a 92 fastball in front of a crowd but that could of just been that he was too drunk to be nervous, or that he feels more comfortable down with his cousins and National City boys because they are not in a uniform.
